BCL Legal and Addleshaw Goddards Procurement team invite you to attend a practical, interactive and lively seminars on evaluation and standstill, which will suit both those new to procurement law, as well as those who would like a more in-depth look at the issues that frequently arise at this critical stage of a tender process.

The evaluation stage of any procurement, when winners and losers are decided and the decision is announced, is key. It is at this important stage of the procedure that contracting authorities/utilities and bidders face some of the most difficult issues and when decisions taken can determine whether the award decision is successful or susceptible to challenge.

This seminar will address common evaluation pitfalls under the procurement rules for contracting authorities/utilities and bidders alike, with practical pointers for both, on issues such as:

  • the permitted limits of clarification of tenders
  • methods for evaluating, awarding and recording scores, including moderation and consensus scoring
  • making changes to tender documentation after it has been issued
  • correction of tenders after submission
  • correction of tenders after submission

Working from a case study, we will explore challenges you may face at evaluation and standstill, and how to manage them. There will be useful hints and tips throughout that should help you and your team increase your prospects of success and reduce your risks of failure in procurement.
